Holiday spend on the rise as 64% of UK set for 2012 get-away - Eurozone remains attractive despite banking worries

According to latest research released by MasterCard® Cash Passport™ today, three quarters of travellers (76%) expect to spend the same or more on their main holiday this year compared to 2011, despite concerns over the Eurozone and the costs associated with travel.
Results from a YouGov survey* commissioned by the prepaid travel money card, Cash Passport, show that two thirds of us (64%) are taking a summer holiday. Of these, one third (29%) resolve to budget more for their holidays this year compared to 2011.

Two thirds of UK holidaymakers risk losing their holiday money by stashing their cash in unusual places when abroad

According to latest research released by MasterCard® Cash Passport™ today, nearly two thirds of Brits have gone to extraordinary lengths to keep their cash safe abroad, while more than one in ten have had money lost or stolen on holiday.*
Results from a YouGov survey commissioned by prepaid travel money card, Cash Passport, show that 62% of us have taken to hiding cash in unusual places, with bum-bags and money holders with lanyards used by a third of all travellers keen to keep hold of their currency. Money holders are the number one money-masking device of the 45-54 year old age group, with 45% having used one.
