According to latest research released by MasterCard® Cash Passport™ today, nearly two thirds of Brits have gone to extraordinary lengths to keep their cash safe abroad, while more than one in ten have had money lost or stolen on holiday.*
Results from a YouGov survey commissioned by prepaid travel money card, Cash Passport, show that 62% of us have taken to hiding cash in unusual places, with bum-bags and money holders with lanyards used by a third of all travellers keen to keep hold of their currency. Money holders are the number one money-masking device of the 45-54 year old age group, with 45% having used one.
