You can use your Cash Passport card to withdraw local currency* at Visa ATMs around the world. There are over 1 million Visa ATMs worldwide.
Please note: There are a number of countries where the use of Cash Passport is not allowed as they are subject to US economic sanctions. If you attempt to withdraw cash in any of these countries, your request will be declined and the reason given as 'Decline, prohibited country'.
The countries currently affected by sanctions are:
Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria
* ATM withdrawals in a currency other than the currency of the Card will be exchanged to the currency on the Card at an exchange rate determined by Visa on the day the transaction is processed, increased by a percentage determined by the issuer.
Cash Passport should work in any cash machine displaying the Visa or Plus logo. If it doesn’t, the Card may be faulty and you can get 24/7 help from Card Services via the Global Emergency Assistance numbers.
Please note, if an ATM screen prompts you to choose ‘which account’, it is recommended that you choose the ‘Credit’ option.
You can only withdraw cash from an ATM up to the available balance on your Cash Passport and if the amount is within the ATM’s issuing limit.
Your Cash Passport will generally be (automatically) activated within twenty-four business hours from purchase. Please refer to your Purchase Location for further assistance.
Click on the link for ‘My Account’ and enter your 16 digit Cash Passport number (found on the back of your Card). You will be taken to another screen, where you will be required to enter a User Name and Password.
The first time you try to log in to ‘My Account’ you will not have a User Name and Password, so please select the 'Sign Up' link and then follow the instructions on the screen.
Once registered, you can see your Cash Passport balance, view your transaction history, change your PIN and manage your details.
You can do all of these things online at ‘My Account’ once you have registered (see above) or by calling Card Services. Please note that you cannot change your PIN at an ATM.
Some ATMs also provide balances, however, if the local currency of the ATM is not the same as the currency on your Cash Passport, the exchange rate used by the ATM to calculate the balance on your Card may be different to that applied to your Card and a slight variation may occur. That’s why we recommend using the online or telephone balance enquiry services.
Please

Just take your Cash Passport, payment and valid photo ID to a participating branch of the bank from which you bought it (within Ghana), and they will reload the Card for you.
For reloads in branch, a commission may be charged. The amount charged varies by branch and you should ask at the time of reload.
If you notice any error in your Card transactions, then you must notify the 24 hour Card Services team immediately and in any event within thirty (30) days of the transaction debit date. They will be happy to check and confirm the transaction details for you.
If there is a transaction which is not correct, Card Services can start the dispute process on your behalf and may request you to provide additional written information concerning any unrecognised transaction, or to complete a Dispute Claim Form (see your Terms and Conditions for further information). Please help them to help you, by providing as much information as you can.
You will require the latest version of Adobe Acrobat reader to view and download a Dispute Claim Form. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat reader installed, please click here to download it.
